Filtered / Framed Light
Filtered / Framed Light is a lamp sculpture that contrasts two methods of blocking light: diffusion through permeability and interruption through deliberate obstruction. A translucent resin element softens and disperses illumination, while contoured mahogany legs impose constraint, producing sharp, extended shadows. Together, these conditions reveal how material density, geometry, and orientation govern the behavior of light.
