Fabricated Wetland Ecologies
This project prototypes a printed concrete barrier as a remedial instrument, employing architectural design to reduce saltwater intrusion in the South Florida Everglades. Salinity mapping informed the geometry of trigonometrically derived modules, which were then prototyped in clay, resin, and PLA to optimize form for energy absorption and aggregation. The result is a fabricated ecology, where architectural prototyping becomes a tool for restorative intervention in an ecosystem most threatened by climate change.
