Museum of Emotions
The Museum of Emotions in Balboa Park uses light and form to produce deliberate emotional effects. Light is the primary emotional register: constricted, delayed, or multiplied to make spaces perceptibly loud or quiet. Compressed, shadowed paths lead to chambers pierced by a cathartic light, while the building’s glossy exterior amplifies daylight. Form guides intensity, shadow, and volume, molding the visitor’s emotional perception.
